Adel garden, Lawn to lush
Our brief here was to transform a bare patch of sloping new-build lawn into a green and growing garden with lots of flowers, plus seating areas for dining out and for relaxation in sun and shade.
The owners now have a spacious patio outside their French doors, large enough for dining al fresco yet close to verdant flower beds and herb garden.
A smaller seating area tucked away at the side of the house catches the evening sun beautifully. Nearby a new bed is packed with interest from bulbs, perennials and shrubs, with clematis meandering up the fence behind.
In the centre of the space we have gone from lawn to lush planting; a large island bed overflowing with plants brings colour to the whole garden, and is enjoyed from the house too.
Two graceful obelisks are covered with beautiful clematis and surrounded by flowering abundance all summer from geraniums and pinks, with delphiniums for extra wow factor!
