Edible Gardens

Growing some of your own food is an increasingly popular activity. Nowadays it’s not about giving your whole garden over to broccoli and spuds; much better to choose those things that you enjoy eating, are easy to grow but are expensive to buy. For example you could grow your own salad leaves, herbs, peas and beans.

Apples, plums and cherries can all be grown on dwarf rooting stocks, making them very suitable for a garden or even a patio pot. We are regularly asked to include edible plants as part of flower borders we are installing.

Our Pinterest board below shows some examples from our own work, and some further ideas and inspiration.
